Wow. Thank you so much for all of the love & support for our official launch of this blog series. The positive feedback around it was truly humbling and I am so glad that I can help fill a space in our industry that shows that this entrepreneurial life is not all about perfection. None of us are perfect in any way, our days are just as messy as the next persons, and together we just get through it like you.
I’m super excited to share from our next guest, Dannie Fountain, Founder of LE Consulting and Author of The Side Hustle Gal. Dannie is sharing some very personal parts of her story with us today, and I really appreciate the lessons that it brings to each of us.
Tell me about a moment when you were brave, and stepped out into your business?
I step out with bravery every day in my business, in that I’m a 22-year-old woman and I still firmly believe I can support all entrepreneurs, regardless of how much older or younger they are than me.
Why do you do what you do?
I love being able to show women that it’s not as difficult as they think to showcase their skills in a way that honors their tremendous capabilities.
What is your business super power?
Getting to the root of a woman’s business story and finding those key tidbits we can lean on in her marketing strategy.
What in your life has allowed you to give away what you give in your business?
So many people supported me after I was adopted, helping me grow and not give up on my dreams. Supporting female entrepreneurs is how I give back!
What is the hardest thing you have ever went through in your life?
I was adopted at age 16 after more than 10 years in an abusive household as a child. That experience forever changed and shaped who I am today.
What do you wish you could tell the world more than anything else?
It doesn’t matter where you came from, who you are, what color your skin is, who you love, or even how much money you have – we all have the same 24 hours in a day and if you’re willing to use them to the greatest of your abilities, you WILL grow. Your life WILL flourish.
What was the woman like that started her business, and who are you now?
I was a timid 17-year-old, not really sure how I could convince people that I had awesome skills or something to offer. Today, I stand firmly rooted in my truth that I am experienced and knowledgeable and I have something incredible to offer!
Share your secret to success!
Coffee, every morning, like clockwork. Nothing fancy 🙂
